Schedule: Full Time, Sunday to Thurs or Tues to Sat // 7:30a - 3:30p and 11:30a to 7:30p  Full Time - Sun to Thurs 8:30a to 4:30p

As an ACTIVITY ASSISTANT you will lead group and independent activities for the resident population. You will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational social, intellectual emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan and as directed by the Activity Director.
Maryland Gardens is an outdoor campus providing care to long-term care and behavioral health residents. Candidate must be able to work outside and be comfortable working with residents who have mental health or serious mental illness diagnosis.
High school diploma or equivalent desirable  
Must be able to plan groups, lead groups
Ability to engage residents in creative activities
Ability to multi-task and plan for individual needs
Experience leading groups
Energetic and Creative
Food Handlers Certification
DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card

Lifestyle Coordinator at Vi at Grayhawk (Scottsdale AZ)
Part-time Position- 24hrs (Weekends and 1 Weekday- 8:00a-4:30p)

The Lifestyle Coordinator will be responsible for leading activity programs in all three Care Center venues: Memory Support, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. Previous experience required working with seniors, especially with those with varying levels of cognitive impairment, i.e., Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Will be required to lead a variety of activity programs including but not limited to: exercise classes, active games; group discussions, sensory stimulation activities, sing alongs and craft groups. Assist Lifestyle Manager in developing monthly calendar, completing activity assessments, maintaining Lifestyle bulletin boards, and decorating for various holiday events. Performs other duties as assigned. Computer experience with proficiency in Word and /or iN2L preferred.

Qualified applicants are required to possess 3 years of full-time experience working in the field of recreation or appropriate experience in assessing, designing, and implementing social, educational, recreational and leisure activities for an active senior population. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills along with proficiency in MS Office. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate Degree is preferred.
